ABOUT THE FAMILY:

This returning West Coast Baby Care family is described as wonderful parents who are both attentive and responsive to their child. They have a calm, quiet and relaxed household. Mom is compassionate, attentive, and as Dad says, “crushing her Master’s Program”. In turn, Dad is silly, dedicated, smart, and one “who gives people the benefit of the doubt”. Due to Dad’s long hours as a lawyer, this family is seeking an added layer of support built into their life with a small baby and as a family who is relatively new to the area.

Their baby will be 9 months old at the time this job begins. They are described as curious, confident, and strong. They like to be active and are frequently on the move as a strong crawler and a cruiser of furniture. Their baby eats and sleeps on a clock-schedule, is bottle fed and has started solids. At present, their child has no known medical issues or special needs and has consistently met all their developmental milestones. Their baby is generally a very happy and social baby who enjoys books, playing with toys, being led in age appropriate activities and engaging in limited screen time.

They have two small dogs that are healthy and are up to date with vaccines. Both dogs are friendly and love people but are high energy.

THEIR IDEAL NANNY:

Their ideal nanny would be nurturing, joyful, patient, communicative, and prioritize child development. The nanny’s responsibilities will primarily be to care for their baby at home, including feeding bottles and solids, changing diapers and clothing as needed, putting down for naps, and engaging in age-appropriate and stimulating play. They will provide toys, books, and ideas for activities. They welcome ideas for activities from their nanny and are happy to support them by purchasing the necessary materials.

Their nanny would be happy to take care of typical nanny tasks related to childcare: bottle washing and preparation, meal prep and clean up, clean up after play time, etc.

It is important to them that a nanny be comfortable with work from home parents and/or parents that come and go from the house during the day.

Their nanny MUST have a reliable vehicle as they live on a steep hill and no not live on a bus route.

Although the family is flexible regarding which weekday their nanny will work, it is imperative that the weekday and hours (8) stay consistent for the extent of their contract.
