ABOUT THE FAMILY:
It’s all hands-on deck with this busy family of 5 and they’re ready for your professional nanny assistance!
Mom has a new baby and stays at home managing everything that 3 small children under 4 and a home require! It’s a good thing she’s easygoing, calm and patient because keeping track of everything requires a level head and keeping things organized. When she has an opportunity to take time for herself, she enjoys trying new restaurants, catching up with friends, attending a workout class or taking herself to the spa!
Dad works hard at his office job in real estate, but enjoys taking the kids to the park on his days off. He is calm, playful, and levelheaded. He enjoys golfing and attending sporting events when he can.
Their 3.5-year-old child is really sweet and exudes the typical energy of a 3.5-year-old. They love all things physical (running, jumping, tag, etc.), Paw Patrol and pretend play. This child is very sensitive and has a hard time with transitions. They will require a nanny who uses calm, but firm, reactions and boundaries.
The 2.5-year-old is quite easy going and loves to do whatever the 3.5-year-old is doing! They are also high energy (as would be expected of a 2-year-old) and love to run and jump as well. They are a little shy at first, but once they come out of their shell, they love to be silly and have fun. They have a little bit of separation anxiety with mom but are getting better and are quick to recover most of the time.
So far, the 4-week-old baby is very easy-going and just enjoys sleeping and eating!
This household does not have any pets.
THEIR IDEAL NANNY:
First and foremost, they are looking for a nanny with toddler and infant experience who can manage multiple children under the age of 4 at one time. As the nanny in this family, you will be collaborating with Mom, but sometimes you will be on your own with all three children. Although Mom will be around most of the time engaged with the children and parts of the day, she would also like to use this time to get some tasks accomplished, go to appointments with a child (or for herself) or have quality 1:1 time with one of the kids.
Their nanny needs to have experience and/or special training with infants and must know how to safely support each developmental, feeding, and sleep stage for the baby with minimal oversight.
The energy of the children and household would require their nanny to be calm and patient, but fun-loving…with a sense of adventure and energy.
The number of children, as well as the busy street that they live on, requires the nanny to be extremely responsible and alert. Their nanny needs to be incredibly mindful of their surroundings especially when on outings with the children, on walks in the neighborhood, or if going to the park.
Their nanny enjoys games, arts, and crafts. They are creative and love to build forts and engage in pretend play. They like to read books and discover new activities that engage each child at their developmental level.
You’re a nanny who understands the basics of Gentle Parenting, but with firm boundaries and the use of “body breaks” if there is a need to regroup or calm down.
Lastly, you are a nanny who likes to commit to a family and grow with them. You are dependable and plan to stay with their family for a long time.
