ABOUT THE FAMILY:

Mom and Dad are a hardworking, loving team navigating the joys and challenges of raising three wonderful kids. Mom is a visionary, strong, and deeply caring, balancing life as a stay-at-home parent while also navigating her aging mother’s changing care needs. Dad is warm, funny, and dedicated, working from home while still being an involved parent. Life has been full of big transitions, but through it all, they remain committed to creating a nurturing, supportive environment for their family.

Child 1 (6 years old) is a bold, energetic, and charismatic child with a natural ability to lead and entertain. Kind and inclusive, they love making people laugh, especially their baby sibling, and has a deep love for babies. They enjoy building things, riding their bike (always in “EXTREME” mode), and dancing to music. While they can be strong-willed and determined, they thrive with a collaborative approach.

Child 2 (3 years old) is a sweet and cuddly soul who has recently come into their own. They have a quiet strength, standing up for their loved ones when needed, and a great sense of humor. They love dinosaurs, puzzles, and anything their older sibling is into. While they can get lost in their own little world at times, they are a fiercely loyal sibling who is learning to navigate their middle-child role.

Child 3 (infant) is the happiest, smiliest baby around, charming everyone they meet. They adore their older siblings and are constantly in motion, kicking, jumping, and lighting up whenever they see their family. They are learning new things every day and enjoy being held, rolling around, and exploring the world with their curious little eyes.

Rounding out the family is Grandma’s 10-year-old Havanese. She’s a mostly docile pup who has grown on the kids but, as a new addition to their home, she remains a little nervous with their energy. She loves keeping an eye on the neighborhood and will happily bark at passersby but quickly warms up to new people in the home.

The family lives in a cozy two-bedroom Victorian home that they’ve outgrown but still love. With three growing children, a hardworking dad, and a mom balancing it all, they are looking for a nanny who can be a steady, joyful presence in their children’s lives and a helping hand to these stressed parents.

THEIR IDEAL NANNY:

This family is looking for an energetic, spunky and considerate nanny who thrives in a dynamic household and engages fully with their children. They need someone dependable, punctual (even early), and communicative. The ideal nanny balances fun and structure, enthusiastically playing with the kids while also leading cleanup efforts to maintain a tidy space at the end of the day.

A strong morning presence is essential. With Dad starting work early and Mom catching up on much-needed rest, the nanny will take the lead in getting breakfast ready, helping the older kids prepare for school, and walking Child 1 to school by 8 a.m. On select days, Child 2 will also need to be prepped for school, though Mom will typically handle drop-off. Once the older kids are at school, the focus shifts to caring for Child 3 (and Child 2 on Tuesdays), allowing Mom time to rest and manage family responsibilities. Mom would be grateful if their nanny would be open to collaborate on assisting with light housekeeping tasks such as meal prep and laundry during nap times. A family vehicle will be available for transporting the kids as needed.

Keeping the children engaged is a priority. The baby will need a mix of tummy time, rolling practice, and stroller walks, with an effort to encourage crib naps while also providing comfort when held. Child 2 enjoys puzzles, books, and building activities like Legos and Magnet Tiles, and a walk to the playground on Tuesdays would be a great way to get outside. On Sundays, when all three kids are home, facilitating free play, creative activities, and sibling bonding time will keep their nanny occupied! The family strongly prefers a screen-free approach, encouraging active and imaginative play throughout the day.

The family values face-to-face interactions and prefers a nanny who does not wear a facemask in the home so that their baby can fully engage with facial expressions for developmental growth. Reliability, organization, and a collaborative spirit are key. The family needs a nanny who takes initiative, supports their parenting approach, and enjoys being a positive presence in their family’s daily life.
